Goa, July 17 -- The Department of Space (DoS) has introduced stricter guidelines on resignations and voluntary retirements for key personnel at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), amid a reported rise in employee exits that could affect critical national missions.

In a directive issued on July 14 to major ISRO centres, including the UR Rao Satellite Centre (URSC) and the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), the department instructed officials not to routinely approve resignation or voluntary retirement requests from Group 'A' scientific and technical staff associated with the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme and other high-priority projects.
