Goa, June 21 -- Ravindra Jadeja's absence from India's ODI squad for the upcoming England series has raised fresh questions about his future in the format and whether the veteran all-rounder remains part of the team's plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a full-strength squad for the three-match ODI series against England, but Jadeja was once again missing. The 37-year-old had also been left out of the squad for the Afghanistan series, with Axar Patel continuing to be preferred as India's first-choice left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder.
