Goa, April 27 -- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his recent visit to Islamabad as "successful" and "very productive," saying he held extensive consultations with Pakistan's top leadership on the stalled peace process with the United States. Araghchi emphasized that the talks were aimed at assessing how the second round of Iran-US negotiations could proceed, after the first round in mid‑April failed to yield a breakthrough.

He attributed the earlier deadlock to what he called excessive U.S. demands and "wrong" negotiating tactics, arguing that closer coordination with friendly countries like Pakistan is essential to shape the next phase of diplomacy.
