Goa, April 7 -- The Manipur government has suspended mobile internet services for three days across five districts after a deadly explosion in Bishnupur claimed the lives of two children and left their mother injured. The incident triggered fresh unrest in the already sensitive region.
According to an official order issued on April 7, internet services have been curtailed in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur districts. Authorities said the move aims to prevent the spread of misinformation and maintain public order. A curfew has also been imposed in Bishnupur, where the blast occurred shortly after midnight.
