Goa, July 22 -- The Indian Navy has inducted INS Malvan, the second indigenously built Mahe-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), further strengthening India's maritime security and coastal defence capabilities.

Built by Cochin Shipyard Limited, INS Malvan boasts more than 80 per cent indigenous content, reflecting India's commitment to self-reliance in defence production under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The warship carries the motto "Silent Claws," symbolising its stealth and effectiveness in anti-submarine operations.
