Goa, Oct. 9 -- The Embassy of India in Riyadh has issued an advisory urging Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia to remain alert, stay indoors as necessary and follow instructions issued by local authorities amid reported attacks on the kingdom's airports by Yemen-based Houthi rebels aligned with Iran.

In its advisory issued on Thursday, the embassy asked Indian citizens to remain vigilant and rely on official channels for information regarding the evolving security situation.

"In view of the current situation, all Indian nationals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are advised to remain alert and vigilant, stay indoors as necessary, and follow the instructions issued by local authorities through official channels," the advisory stated.
