Goa, April 13 -- The Indian Army has urged the Goa government to restore the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Hughes Precision Manufacturing Pvt Ltd to store propellant at its Naqueri facility in South Goa.

In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary V. Candavelou, Lt Gen Amardeep Singh Aujla highlighted the company's critical role in supplying ammunition and cautioned that any disruption could adversely affect operational preparedness.

The Army emphasised that resolving regulatory hurdles is essential, particularly as the firm holds supply orders worth over Rs.350 crore under the Make in India programme.
