Goa, June 29 -- The Indian government will be represented by Bihar Governor Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain and Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita at the funeral ceremonies of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, according to Iranian sources.

The delegation will attend the state funeral and burial ceremonies in Iran after Tehran extended an invitation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to participate in the official observances. While the Prime Minister will not attend, India has decided to send the two representatives on behalf of the government.
