India Supports Peaceful Efforts to End Russia-Ukraine War, Says PM Modi
Goa, Sept. 1 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday reiterated India's support for all peaceful efforts aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying New Delhi will continue to back initiatives that seek an end to the war.
Speaking during a joint statement with Russian President Vladimir Putin after their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Modi said the international community must work towards moving beyond prolonged conflict.
"We have to move from a situation of 'endless war' to 'end of war'," Modi said, stressing that humanity hopes the conflict comes to an end at the earliest.
