Goa, April 20 -- India and South Korea have agreed to begin negotiations to upgrade their existing economic partnership, signaling a renewed push to deepen bilateral ties amid global trade uncertainties. The decision followed high-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South Korean President Lee Jae Myung in New Delhi.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the face of geopolitical disruptions affecting global commerce. The planned upgrade of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), originally implemented in 2010, is expected to expand opportunities across sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and energy.
