India signs off from Asian Games with 85 medals as Aichi-Nagoya curtain falls
Goa, Oct. 4 -- The Asian Games 2026 came to a colourful close in Aichi-Nagoya on Sunday, bringing 16 days of competition to an end and leaving India with a strong medal haul and several performances to remember.
India finished fourth in the overall standings with 85 medals, comprising 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze. While the tally was below the record 106 medals won at Hangzhou, it remained India's second-highest medal haul at the Asian Games.
