Goa, April 20 -- India and Russia have operationalised the Indo-Russian Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics Agreement (RELOS), enabling both nations to access each other's military infrastructure, including army bases, ports, and air bases, and to station up to 3,000 military personnel on each other's territory.
The agreement, signed between New Delhi and Moscow in February 2025, is aimed at strengthening defence cooperation and enhancing logistical support between the two long-standing allies. Under the pact, both sides have agreed to deploy up to five warships, ten fighter aircraft, and 3,000 troops in each other's regions. According to reports by Sputnik, the agreement will remain valid for five years, with provisions for extension.
