Goa, June 11 -- India have retained the No. 1 position in the latest ICC Men's ODI Team Rankings following the annual update, although their lead at the top has been reduced.

The update sees India lose one rating point, dropping from 119 to 118. However, they remain comfortably ahead of second-placed New Zealand, who gained two rating points to move up to 113. As a result, the gap between the two sides has narrowed from eight points to five.

World champions Australia continue to occupy third place with a rating of 103, unchanged from the previous rankings.
