Goa, Sept. 17 -- India on Wednesday rejected the operationalisation of the Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission in Islamabad, asserting that the entire Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inalienable parts of the country.

In a strongly worded statement, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the commission had no legal basis and rejected the premise of a boundary arrangement involving Pakistan and China in territories claimed by India.

The MEA also reiterated that Pakistan has no authority to enter into any arrangement concerning Indian territory that is under what India describes as Pakistan's illegal and forcible occupation.
