Goa, June 6 -- A lecture by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant at Birkbeck, University of London, has sparked debate after a question-and-answer session was disrupted by attendees raising concerns about dissent and democratic freedoms in India.
The incident occurred on June 4 after Chief Justice Kant delivered a lecture on "Artificial Intelligence and International Law." During the interactive session, one attendee questioned the Chief Justice about what he described as increasing hostility towards dissent in India and referred to the controversy surrounding the CJI's recent remarks likening certain forms of criticism to a "cockroach mindset."
