Goa, Nov. 1 -- India have created history by becoming the first team to smash 400 sixes in T20 Internationals in a single calendar year, achieving the landmark during the fifth and final T20I against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton on Sunday.

The Indian team reached the historic milestone after hitting 11 sixes in the match, taking their tally to 400 maximums across 40 T20I matches in 2026. The achievement highlights India's aggressive approach in the shortest format and their growing dominance in power-hitting.

India are comfortably ahead of their closest competitors in the list. Austria and the West Indies are currently joint-second with 224 sixes each, having played 24 and 21 matches respectively during the calendar year.
