Imposter Claiming PMO Status Arrested Alongside Armed 'Bodyguard' in Mumbai
Goa, Sept. 8 -- Security forces deployed ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled appearance in Mumbai successfully averted a major security breach on Tuesday. Police arrested a man posing as a high-ranking official from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), alongside an armed accomplice who claimed to be serving as his personal bodyguard.
Intervention and Identification The incident occurred at the event venue in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). According to an official statement issued by the BKC Police Station, the primary suspect was identified as Rohan Parekh. Parekh arrived at the security perimeter asserting that he was an official attached to the PMO and requested access to the restricted event grounds.
