Goa, June 6 -- A controversial illegal structure at Rumdamol was demolished under heavy police presence following repeated tensions in the locality. The unauthorised structure, which reportedly housed a fast-food outlet, had been at the centre of clashes between two groups over the past several months. To prevent any law-and-order issues during the operation, police personnel were deployed in the area as authorities carried out the demolition. Despite concerns over possible unrest, the removal process was completed peacefully.
