Goa, Aug. 21 -- A 21-year-old man, identified as Lingamaneni Sanjush, has been charged in connection with the death of a 26-year-old woman who was allegedly struck by an Aston Martin in Hyderabad's Madhapur area.

The victim, Bharathi Mukhi, who worked at the Lifestyle clothing store in Inorbit Mall, died after being hit by the luxury car while she was crossing the road near her workplace on August 16.

Cyberabad police identified Sanjush as the driver of the vehicle. He is the son of businessman and Rajya Sabha MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, who is associated with Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party.

Police allege that the car was being driven at high speed and in a rash manner when the accident occurred.
