Goa, Aug. 8 -- Large crowds gathered in Quepem as people from across Goa turned up to purchase the highly popular lottery coupons issued by the Shree Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mandal ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi.

As in previous years, the distribution of the lottery coupons attracted a strong response, with devotees and members of the public gathering in large numbers.

The annual lottery has become a popular feature of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Quepem, drawing people from different parts of Goa eager to participate.

The heavy turnout once again reflected the popularity of the Ganesh Utsav celebrations and the enthusiasm surrounding the festival in the state.
