Goa, Oct. 28 -- The proposed transfer of ownership records of the historic Hospicio Hospital property in Margao from the trust Sagrada Coracao de Maria to the Directorate of Health Services, Panjim, has drawn opposition from the Fabrica of the Holy Spirit Church, Margao.

The Directorate of Health Services has filed an application before the Court of the Inspector of Survey and Land Records at Margao seeking the transfer under the NAKSHA survey process.

The Fabrica of the Holy Spirit Church, headed by parish priest Fr. Domingos Noronha as its president, has filed an intervention petition in the matter, objecting to the proposed change in the property's ownership records.
