Goa, May 19 -- A hit-and-run case was reported in Curchorem after the driver of a Maruti van allegedly knocked down a woman riding a motorcycle.

According to reports, the van driver attempted to flee the scene immediately after the accident. However, local reporters from Curchorem reportedly intervened, stopped the vehicle, and prevented the driver from escaping.

The driver was later brought to the Curchorem Police Station for further legal action. The condition of the injured woman was not immediately known.

Police are expected to investigate the incident and take necessary action based on the findings.
