Goa, Nov. 5 -- The High Court has issued notices to the Goa government and other respondents in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) challenging the construction and operation of an asphalt and hot mix plant at Petkem in Dharbandora.

Taking up the petition, the High Court has directed the respondents not to operate the plant until further orders.

The PIL challenges the establishment and functioning of the plant, with the matter now set to be considered further by the court. The notices have been issued to the concerned authorities and other respondents in connection with the petition.
