High Court Gives NHAI, Centre Final Chance to File Affidavits in Stray Dog Case
Goa, Aug. 13 -- The court directed the National Highways Authority of India and the Union of India to submit their responses by August 19.
Expressing strong dissatisfaction over the continued non-compliance with its earlier directions, the High Court issued a stern warning to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Union of India in a suo motu writ petition concerning stray dog management.
The court noted that both respondents had failed to file the affidavits sought in the matter despite previous directions. Granting them a final opportunity, the Bench ordered NHAI and the Union government to submit their responses by August 19.
