Goa, June 19 -- Following a report published by Herald highlighting the prolonged leakage from a drinking water pipeline near the Sanguem Bus Stand, the Drinking Water Department has finally initiated repair work on the damaged pipeline.

The pipeline had reportedly been leaking for nearly a month, with large quantities of treated drinking water flowing into a nearby gutter, raising concerns over the wastage of a vital resource amid growing water conservation challenges.
