Goa, July 17 -- Heavy overnight rainfall led to the submergence of the bridge over the Ragada River at Deulmol in Sacorda, disrupting vehicular movement and affecting commuters in the area on Friday.

Dharbandora taluka has been witnessing intense rainfall since Thursday evening, causing a sharp rise in the water level of the Ragada River. As a result, the bridge was inundated, making it unsafe for vehicles and pedestrians to cross.

The continuous rainfall has raised concerns among local residents, with authorities urging commuters to avoid using the submerged bridge until the water level recedes.
