Goa, July 4 -- Speculation surrounding Hardik Pandya's future with the Mumbai Indians (MI) has gathered momentum ahead of IPL 2027, with reports suggesting the franchise could consider trading their captain. While several teams have reportedly shown interest, former India opener Aakash Chopra believes a return to the Gujarat Titans (GT) is unlikely.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra said that although rumours indicate multiple franchises are monitoring the situation, Gujarat may not be keen on bringing Pandya back. He also claimed that Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are among the teams unlikely to pursue the all-rounder if a trade window opens.
