Gyanesh Kumar row reaches Supreme Court as bench seeks EC, Centre reply
Goa, Oct. 5 -- The Supreme Court on Monday sought responses from the Election Commission and the Centre on a batch of petitions seeking the suspension of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and challenging decisions allegedly taken without the approval of the other two election commissioners.
A bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant and comprising Justices Joymalya Bagchi and V Mohana was hearing pleas that questioned the manner in which the Election Commission, under Kumar, has taken certain decisions and issued orders.
