Goa, May 23 -- A 42-year-old man lost his life in a tragic road accident involving a truck and a scooter at Nanoda in Bicholim on Friday evening.

According to reports, Prashant Kerkar, a resident of Nanoda-Bicholim, was riding his scooter at around 4 pm when the accident occurred. While allegedly attempting to overtake another vehicle, his scooter collided with a truck, resulting in severe injuries.

Locals and emergency responders rushed him for medical treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

Sources said that Prashant Kerkar had been working in the Gulf region and had returned to his native village just two days ago. His untimely death has left the entire village in shock and mourning.
