Goa, June 12 -- The Gujarat government has unveiled a comprehensive redevelopment project worth Rs 547 crore for the campus devastated by the crash of Air India flight AI171, which struck student hostels and mess buildings a year ago, claiming 260 lives.
Paying tribute to the victims of the tragic incident, Gujarat Health Minister Praful Panseria said the state government is committed to transforming the site of the disaster into a symbol of progress and resilience. He said the redevelopment aims to convert the tragedy into an opportunity for growth by creating a modern hub for healthcare and medical education.
