Government Reaffirms Commitment to Protect Protesters, Says Cockroach Janta Party After Late-Night Talks
Goa, July 28 -- The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday said that no protester would be abandoned, following a late-night meeting with government representatives who reportedly assured the group that additional states would soon issue notifications safeguarding those participating in the ongoing protests.
The statement came just hours after the CJP accused the government of violating an earlier agreement over police action against demonstrators and warned that it would resume protests if assurances were not honoured. The party had also claimed that officials shared notifications issued by the Bihar and Assam governments providing relief to protesters.
