Goa, July 2 -- The Government of India has officially launched the e-OCI (Electronic Overseas Citizen of India) Card, enabling Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders to carry a digital version of their OCI document on their mobile phones.

With the introduction of the e-OCI Card, eligible travellers can present the digital document at immigration checkpoints and to airline authorities, reducing the need to carry the physical OCI booklet during travel.

The initiative is aimed at making international travel more convenient for OCI cardholders by providing secure digital access to their OCI credentials.
