Goa, May 21 -- Mandrem Police have registered an FIR against an unidentified person for allegedly entering a room at a resort in Mandrem and stealing gold earrings from a tourist's suitcase.

According to the complaint, the victim, a tourist from Greater Noida, reported that the stolen earrings weighed 34.992 grams and were kept inside a suitcase in the resort room. The jewellery was said to have belonged to the complainant's late mother, making the loss emotionally significant for the family.

Police have launched an investigation into the theft and are working to identify the accused. Further inquiries are in progress.
