Goa, June 29 -- A Goan man living in the United Kingdom is being widely hailed for his courage after reportedly helping rescue a child from drowning at Coate Water Country Park in Swindon.
Rezetine Gomes, originally from Agacaim in Goa and now based in the UK, played a crucial role in the rescue operation on Saturday afternoon after a child allegedly wandered away from family members visiting the popular splash park and fell into the lake.
As panic gripped the area, several bystanders rushed to the child's aid. Gomes was among those who immediately responded, joining the rescue effort that helped save the child from the water.
