Dodamarg, June 22 -- A Goa youth has been detained following a violent altercation at a market in Dodamarg that allegedly involved an assault and dangerous driving during a dispute with local vegetable vendors.

According to police, the incident triggered chaos at the marketplace, creating panic among vendors and members of the public present at the scene. The situation reportedly escalated, prompting police intervention to restore order.

Authorities stated that an altercation also took place when police personnel attempted to control the disturbance. Following the incident, a case was registered under various sections relating to rioting, criminal intimidation, and dangerous driving.
