Goa, June 29 -- A tense situation unfolded in Maharashtra's Dodamarg after a youth from Goa allegedly attempted to attack two local youths with a knife near the market area, sparking fresh concerns over public safety.

According to available information, the incident occurred inside a building under construction near the Dodamarg market. The accused youth had reportedly arrived at the location in a Goa-registered car along with a young woman.

Suspicion arose when two local youths questioned the pair over their presence at the site. An argument allegedly followed, during which the accused is said to have pulled out a knife and attempted to assault the two men.
