Goa, Aug. 22 -- Goa's ace windsurfer Katya Ida Coelho has been selected to represent India at the 2026 Asian Games, marking another major milestone in the career of one of the country's leading women windsurfers.

According to the selection list, Coelho has been named in the Indian contingent for the Sailing discipline, where she will compete in the Women's Windsurfing event. The official list identifies her as a female athlete representing India in the event.

Coelho's selection comes after a strong showing in the Asian Games selection trials earlier this year. She topped the women's iQFOiL category at the trials conducted as part of Sail India 2026, finishing ahead of several of the country's leading sailors.
