Goa, Sept. 12 -- In a major relief to locals in Goa over ongoing water supply woes, Drinking Water minister Subhash Phal Desai announced that the state is likely to receive 150 MLD of extra water from new pumping stations that will be sufficient for the state's overall needs. He also informed that a total of 325 MLD of water will be available in the next 5- months. Blaming the non-revenue water (NRW) loss on broken pipelines and water theft, he also hinted that close to 2,000 kilometers of existing pipeline could be replaced.
