Goa, July 29 -- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has announced that Goa will introduce a systematic e-waste management system from August 28 as part of the state's efforts to strengthen scientific waste management and promote sustainability.

Speaking on the initiative, Sawant said the new system will ensure the proper collection, segregation and disposal of electronic waste in an environmentally responsible manner.

He expressed confidence that the initiative would help Goa emerge as one of India's leading states in scientific waste management and sustainable practices in the coming years.
