Goa to Launch 'State Care' Doorstep Healthcare Programme; 19 New Medical Vehicles Added
Goa, July 14 -- Goa is set to become the first state in the country to launch the 'State Care' programme, a doorstep healthcare initiative aimed at bringing essential medical services directly to people's homes, Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced.
The State Care programme will provide a range of home-based healthcare services, including physiotherapy, palliative care, geriatric care, stroke rehabilitation support, and transport facilities for patients undergoing dialysis and chemotherapy.
Speaking on the occasion, Rane said the initiative is designed to make quality healthcare more accessible, particularly for senior citizens, chronically ill patients and those with limited mobility.
