Panaji, Sept. 9 -- Goa will host the 37th West Zone Junior Athletics Championship from September 27 to 29, with around 800 athletes from eight states and Union Territories expected to participate.

Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar said the three-day championship will bring together young athletes from across the West Zone, providing them with an opportunity to compete at a high level.

Goa is expected to field around 150 athletes in the championship, adding a strong local contingent to the competition.

The event is expected to provide a major platform for emerging athletes to showcase their talent and gain valuable competitive experience.
