Goa, Aug. 12 -- Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Ganesh Gaonkar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and conveyed his gratitude to the Union Government for its decision regarding the implementation of ST reservation in the Goa Legislative Assembly.

During the meeting, Gaonkar also briefed Prime Minister Modi on the proposed Silver Jubilee celebrations to mark 25 years of the present Goa Legislative Assembly building.

The Speaker sought the Prime Minister's support and guidance for the commemorative programme planned to mark the milestone.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss matters related to the upcoming celebrations and the significance of the Assembly building completing 25 years.
