Goa, Aug. 13 -- The first truck carrying relief material for flood-affected people in Assam was blessed by Auxiliary Bishop Simiao Fernandes and flagged off by former bureaucrat Elvis Gomes at Bishop's Palace, Altinho, in the presence of retired IPS officers Bosco George and John Shilshi and Street Providence man aging trustees. The truck, loaded with materials collected from donors, is expected to reach Assam within the next few days. The trustees thanked donors and members of the public for their material and financial contributions.
