Panaji, Sept. 10 -- The Goa State Election Commission (SEC) has notified the delimitation of wards for the upcoming general elections to 11 Municipal Councils in the state.

The municipal councils covered under the delimitation exercise are Mormugao, Margao, Mapusa, Curchorem-Cacora, Bicholim, Cuncolim, Quepem, Canacona, Valpoi, Pernem and Sanguem.

The notification marks an important step towards conducting the forthcoming municipal elections, with the ward boundaries now formally notified by the State Election Commission.

The delimitation process determines the territorial boundaries of the wards from which councillors will be elected in the respective Municipal Councils.
