Goa Resident Duped of Rs.4.23 Cr in Trading Scam; Accused Nabbed from Kerala
Goa, June 7 -- Goa Cyber Crime Police have arrested a man from Kozhikode, Kerala, in connection with a massive Rs.4.23 crore investment and trading fraud targeting a resident of Corlim, Tiswadi.
According to police, fraudsters posed as representatives of a trading platform called "Citadel Security" and convinced the victim to invest through a fake mobile application of the same name. The accused allegedly promised high returns from IPOs and stock market trades, inducing the complainant to transfer Rs.4.23 crore.
