Fresh allegations of custodial violence at the Maina-Curtorim Police Station have escalated into a major con troversy, with the inquiry now expected to widen beyond the suspension of a sin gle constable and civil society voices de manding accountability from the police hierarchy. The case centres on allegations by five persons, including a minor, that they were stripped, assaulted and subjected to degrading treatment after being brought to the police station following a clash at Davorlim on Saturday night.
