Goa, Sept. 2 -- Goa Police have suspended five personnel over alleged misconduct, corruption and violations of service rules.

Those suspended include Head Clerk Mukund Menkurkar/Lamgaonkar, LDC Pratap Sawant, Constables Gauresh Gawas and Sumesh Mandrekar, and PSI Viraj Sawant.

The department has also initiated disciplinary proceedings against all five personnel in connection with the allegations.

Further action will depend on the outcome of the departmental proceedings.
