Goa, June 13 -- Goa Police has ordered a preliminary inquiry into social media allegations of illegal money collection by police personnel. The SDPO Ponda has been directed to submit a report within two days.

Goa Police has taken serious cognisance of a social media post alleging illegal collection of money by police personnel and has ordered a preliminary inquiry into the matter.

According to a statement issued by the Superintendent of Police, South Goa, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Ponda, has been directed to conduct a preliminary investigation and submit a detailed report within two days.
