Goa, Nov. 3 -- Goa Police on Tuesday held a meeting with rent-a-car and rent-a-bike operators from across the state to address concerns and strengthen coordination between the police, Transport Department and the vehicle rental industry.

The meeting was chaired by the Director General of Police, Goa, and attended by around 50 representatives of rental agencies, Transport Department officials and senior police officers.

Several issues concerning the rental vehicle industry were raised and discussed during the interaction. On the issue of private vehicles being rented out without the required authorisation, Goa Police assured stakeholders that strict action would be taken against violators.
