Goa, Aug. 3 -- Goa Police launched a large-scale multi-state operation against cyber financial fraud networks, deploying nearly 40 teams across 11 states as part of an extensive crackdown on online financial crimes.

The coordinated operation covered nearly 40 cyber fraud cases involving an estimated Rs.2.5 crore, resulting in the arrest of seven accused persons.

Police also issued notices to 24 other suspects as part of the ongoing investigation. During the operation, officers seized 21 electronic devices believed to be linked to the fraudulent activities.

Investigators further verified 313 mule bank accounts that were allegedly used to receive and transfer money obtained through cyber fraud.
